Project:  Ignek Communications Facility Demolition and Site Restoration

Project Description:  The project  consisted of the decommissioning, demolition and disposal of the Ignek  Communications Facility located in the remote arctic seventy miles east of  Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.  Following project planning and permitting, construction crews were mobilized to the site utilizing a cat train.  Field demolition activities were conducted during the winter in order to minimize damage to  sensitive tundra.  All equipment and debris were removed via cat train for  proper disposal.  Field crews were mobilized during the summer by helicopter for  final site restoration and revegetation.

Project Status: Project is 100% complete.
