From 40,000 hour remote site generators to 4 MW oilfield and utility applications, we create the long life generator sets you need. Portable Power Plants, Utility Power, Arctic Proof Trailers, Remote Telecom sites, and Cathodic Protection modules are all built to survive in the Arctic environment, and are constructed to NFPA and IBC standards. Our rental fleet includes Gensets and Load Banks capabilities to 15 MW in 480V/4160V &13,800V.

Projects

Alyeska 5MW 501 KB7S Turbine


The Marsh Creek team designed, built and installed the Siemens (formerly Rolls-Royce) 501 KB7S Turbine for Pump Station 1. This is the first turbine package to be built in Alaska. The system is designed to operate in the Arctic and meet the emissions standards while operating at -50ºF Ambient. The package included ABB Arc Resistant Switchgear, Allen-Bradley MCC, Enersys Battery System and the complete Fire and Gas detection and suppression systems. The module was assembled and tested in Alaska prior to being trucked to the Slope. The Module dimensions are 15’H X 22’W X 72’D.

2.5MW Modular Generators for Conoco Phillips, Kuparuk

Marsh Creek provided ConocoPhillips Alaska 2ea 2.5MW 13.8kV diesel reciprocating generator packages with fully automatic black start and paralleling capacity. The equipment provides redundant backup power for critical systems at CPF1 and KOC in Kuparuk, Alaska.

BP Central Gas Facility General Control Panel Upgrade

Under a competitive bidding process, Marsh Creek was selected by BP Exploration Alaska, Inc. (BPXA) to provide detailed design engineering and construction services for the emergency power system upgrade at BPXA’s Central Gas Facility (CGF). This system upgrade includes the following systems; engine/generator controls, switchgear protective relay, lubrication oil and fuel oil systems, combustion air/exhaust gas system, 24 VDC and 125 VDC battery systems as well as a starting air system. Deliverables developed and submitted during the design and construction phase included the following; loop wiring diagrams, cause and effect drawings, single line diagrams, bill of materials, manufacturer’s O&M manuals, documentation for factory acceptance test settings and calibration, total installed costs estimate and procurement of materials specified on the engineered material requisition.

Silver Bay Seafood Naknek, AK

Two similar variable frequency drive(VFD) units were utilized to control the new fish processing line in Naknek, AK. For Silver Bay Seafood. The custom designed unit incorporated Allen Bradley VFD’s for serviceability and reliability during critical round the clock processing of tons of fresh fish caught off the western coast of Alaska.
